I have the great privilege of having my daughter take riding lessons with Lydia.

Lydia has something that not all trainers have, the ability to connect with the horse, the children and the parents.

I've watched Lydia work with my daughter and bring her from a meek young girl riding a horse, not sure of herself, to a daughter who now knows she can control the horse, is in charge and not to be afraid. My daughters self confidence is much stronger because of her.

Mrs. Lydia really helped me to get more confident in the saddle and helped me train my pony. Bella went from being a nervous cart pony to a brave riding pony. Without her, I would most likely not be the rider that I am now, and Bella would have been sold.  If you are considering using her as a trainer, I would highly recommend her.  She never got frustrated with me, and explained whatever I couldn’t understand.  Parents, if you are looking for a GREAT instructor, who will not only explain to the child, but also explain what is being taught to you as well, look no further!  She is also just a wonderful individual to be around.  I hope that this will help you decide if she will be a good fit for you.

Miss Lydia was hired mainly for my 8 year old daughter but she managed to get the whole family involved in riding.  We enjoyed her enthusiam, vast knowledge and down to earth instruction.  We are not only better riders, but more knowledgable and more appreciative of the equestrian sport.  We have also become much better horse owners with the help of Miss Lydia.  She is also extremely good with children - my kids just love her! I have watched her make my extremely timid niece become totally relaxed and smiling within in just a few minutes of instruction.  We love you Miss Lydia!!

What a great job Lydia and her horse staff of Jackson and Dusty have done for Mackenzie these past few weeks. Her beginning horse riding lessons has really made a difference in the anxiety issues she has been dealing with this past year. Horse riding has been very therapeutic for her, and we are happy to say that since the second week of her lessons Mackenzie hasn't had one anxiety attack. Not only has Lydia done a great job of teaching her the proper way to ride, but she has learned how to care for the horses also. It has taught her that there is a certain amount of responsibility having to brush the horses down and clean their hooves after riding. Riding lessons were intended to be a birthday gift from us, but in return have far exceeded any expectations we could have ever imagined in helping her cope with her anxiety issue.

I can't say enough good things about Lydia as an instructor. I am an adult beginner - I started riding 8 months ago and at that point was nervous to go into the paddock with the horses and about as jumpy as they come. Lydia worked with me patiently, always knowing when to support and when to push me just a little bit outside my comfort zone. Her calm and patience has supported me through all the typical things that go along with learning a new skill, as well as learning to ride different horses and what is needed to work with them effectively.
 
Lydia goes above and beyond as a trainer, patiently answering questions in detail and focusing on the "why" not just "how."  Her training in equine studies, years of experience working with many types of horses and riders at all levels along with her personal experience in showing gives her an awesome level of knowledge which she generously passes on to her students.
 
She has an incredible sixth sense awareness of horses so she knows what's going on with them and how best to work with it. She maintains a strong focus on her students, offering heaps of advice and encouragement along the way. Any student can go far working with her.

Lydia is a wonderful trainer. My daughter has been taking lessons with her for several months and it’s the best part of her week. “My wife and I have dreamed for years of taking a Rocky Mountain riding vacation and we finally scheduled one for for fall this year.
